Funding Agency: Centre County Government
Project Dates: 8/1/95 – 6/30/03
Primary Researcher: Greg Luna, Nick Barger, Elizabeth Tuck
The LAL has three staff assigned to Centre County to support GIS activities. Two staff members are full-time while the other works three days a week at the county providing support and two days in the Lab at Penn State working on the Farmland Preservation project. These staff are currently working on land use layers and cadastral mapping projects.

Among other tasks, the staff supports local planning efforts through the development of maps for the pending county comprehensive plan and for local municipalities and institutions such as Rockview.
The staff is also assisting the county in updating local infrastructure facility maps such as water and sewer service areas and updating tax parcels databases in the assessment office. Finally, one staff member's time is devoted to updating the vector data for the county 911 databases.
