This project is designed to provide the user of digital soils data with the ability to quickly and efficiently use the web-based application to determine soil characteristics for exact areas of interest and then print out maps and reports of this specific area.

The SoilMap help systems assists the user with the functionality of the soilMap interface. Currently the help system is being expanded to include links to other soil sites and information.
The Penn State Cooperative Extension, Geospatial Technology Program (GTP) Land Analysis Lab is a research,
cooperative extension, and teaching program in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University.
We specialize in the use of GIS and related advanced information system technologies for environmental assessment, agriculture,
and land management and planning.
