Development of a Land Use Information Center for Local Government
Funding Agency: Mifflin County Board of Commissioners
This project combines the ability to apply for permits online such as building, street address, driveway, and septic, with an educational system that allows the applicant the chance to educate themselves about smart land use choices before they actually make one. Once completed we plan to educate counties across the state in the use of this application.
Project Goals
The primary goal of the Mifflin Land Use Information Center will be to provide citizens of the County and local governments with detailed information on land use issues and the permitting process. A GIS interface is available which greatly enhances to ability of the site to deliver land use information.
The website provides an interface that allows citizens to complete and submit applications for selected permits. Permit applications are also available for downloading by users who wish to submit them in person.
