Workshops and training offered by the Land Analysis Laboratory
How it Works
Our classes can be held upon request in your area using our mobile wireless GIS lab, which consists of 20 Dell laptop computers. Classes are coordinated through and may be held at the Penn State Cooperative Extension office in your county or at a facility you provide. We require a minimum of 8 students to hold a class; the maximum class size is 20 people. However, if you wish to share your workstation with a second person, the second person receives a 30 percent discount on the tuition. There is a 10% discount for groups of eight or more people.
All classes begin at 8:30am and run until 4:30pm.
The Penn State Cooperative Extension, Geospatial Technology Program (GTP) Land Analysis Lab is a research,
cooperative extension, and teaching program in the Department of Crop and Soil Sciences at The Pennsylvania State University.
We specialize in the use of GIS and related advanced information system technologies for environmental assessment, agriculture,
and land management and planning.
