GPS Base Station
Overview
In November 2003 the Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) reference base station operated by the Land Analysis Laboratory was discontinued. This base station was no longer necessary since National Geodetic Survey's Continuously Operating Reference Stations (CORS), project provides a higher quality of data than would be available from our current hardware.
The CORS project maintains two reference stations that cover the areas that were served by the LAL's base station. These sites are listed to the right.:
Access the data from these reference stations at the CORS website, http://www.ngs.noaa.gov/CORS/
