Geospatial Technology Program, Land Analysis Lab GIS training hosted by the Northwest Commission in Franklin, Pennsylvania

The Penn State Cooperative Extension Geospatial Technology Program has been conducting ArcView GIS workshops since 1996 and over this period of time our instructors have trained many hundreds of people in how to effectively utilize this software. Our training material has been developed utilizing local Pennsylvania GIS datasets and exercises are geared towards practical applications. Training is conducted using our mobile GIS lab consisting of twenty Dell laptops and can be scheduled at any location in Pennsylvania by request. Each student receives an instructional manual developed and certified by Penn State University along with a cd-rom containing all the data used in the workshop so that the student can repeat any of the exercises at a later date. Our instructors are available after the class as well to assist students if they need help going through the exercise a second time.

Some of our classes are held in conjunction with other organizations and in some cases you must register with the sponsor organization instead of us. If one of these dates or locations does not suit your organizational needs please contact us directly to arrange for a class of eight or more at your location.
